I am an associate research fellow at Institute of Mobile Communication Technology, Peng Cheng Laboratory. I got my Ph.D. degree in March 2017 in Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, advised by Prof. Rocky K. C. Chang. I received my B.E. in Electronic Engineering and M.E. in Software Engineering from South China University of Technology.


Research interests:

My research mainly focuses on network measurement, especially on Internet measurement technologies, large-scale network performance monitoring and diagnosis, mobile network performance monitoring.

I'm also interested in areas including cloud computing, HTTP streaming system, quality of experience (QoE) measurement, and machine learning.


Leading or involved projects:
  • FANet provides a scientific facility that enables flexible and large-scale network experiments.

  • MobileIntelligent accurately measures the mobile network performance, captures the per-app network speed, and senses the wireless network environmnets (including WiFi and cellular networks) on smartphones.

  • Broadband Bauhinia measures the quality of residential networks in Hong Kong.
